Since december 2012 Battlestations: Midway is supported by GameSpy no longer. The only one possibility for Midway players is GameRanger. Please visit www.gameranger.com, download Gameranger client and make new account. You can find other Midway players in the Gameranger rooms. BS:M patch 1.1.1 is required to play online battles. Iowa Mission Pack and Midway Modders Mappacks 1 and 2 are recommended.

To see the list of changes I noticed the battleship Yamato with 1945 settings. Well, maybe I'm wrong but according to the changelog photo of axis that is not.

Sorting you can doubt.

The answer is simple. If it was a 100% realistic configuration combined with the game's built in auto aim the ship would simply be untouchable by air attacks no matter how many hundreds or thousands of airplanes you threw at it.
Another simple example is all the other ships in the game. Take the Lexington for example. It does not even have 10% of the AA guns in the game than it had in WW2. It's just a balancing thing.
The 1945 Yamato in 3.0 does indeed have a lot more AA than the stock Yamato, but it is scaled back to keep the game fair, else you would have a godly unit which will be fun for the one side but totally unfair to the other side.
I hope this clarifies things a bit more.

Thanks Axis, Well if you say it's unfair but that the American battleships are not?

Another thing, I for example I bought the original game a few days ago and the dlc munstang unit pack. Well where I'm going is that I preferred you had tucked almost more vessels (eg montana class and a-150 class) for people who can not buy it instead of more fighters, but the rest of the mod is fine.

I think the "update" part of modding is done and with the AWP being released alongside 3.0 the next mod will in all probability be a new map/unit pack

You say to be launched by the mod or after, what suministrarias you or where?
Ok. another thing about that "do" more and more armored units like eg. those who sink into the first Japanese mission or talk.

  • Legendary Da : I had guessed it was about the wrong area, though I still wondered why it had been removed. Thanks for taking your time to make something better for the community. Take as much time as you require, though; life still comes first.
  • N_Trainz : Actually it was removed by me for 2 reasons; 1. was it was uploaded in the wrong area and 2. the installer didn't autp - detect the disk version, only the Steam version (since that is what I have). Going to remake it so if you won't mind a but longer wat that'll be appreciated

I finally got it working, and just figured out how to make the updater now since it'll be two parts with one containing the misc files and the other mostly the mpak files. It'll be a stand - alone DLC mod just like the Bismarck Mission Pack was. Like I said I plan to have it all completed and uploaded by this weekend
