Since december 2012 Battlestations: Midway is supported by GameSpy no longer. The only one possibility for Midway players is GameRanger. Please visit www.gameranger.com, download Gameranger client and make new account. You can find other Midway players in the Gameranger rooms. BS:M patch 1.1.1 is required to play online battles. Iowa Mission Pack and Midway Modders Mappacks 1 and 2 are recommended.

Musashi unit library

I have a problem with the Musashi:its in the unit library and is available as an unlock but cant be played for some reason in the game. I guess it has something to do with global.enums.

Make sure its unlock is set correctly in vehicleclasses and that the class number in the unitlib.lua, vehicleclasses.lua and global.enums correspond.
Also verify the unit type in vehicleclasses.lua

I actually copied the Yamato 1944 vehicleclass and changed the name and vehicle class number and gave it a new vehicleclass and .mmod so I guess everything should be fine.
I have a question though:how important is the exact position of a ship name in global.enums?

As long as it appears under the "enum VehicleClasses" and "enum ShipClasses" it does not matter in which order it is placed.

Nope, the only place you use the name in global.enums is in the .scn file for a map to call the unit class to be spawned.
For example:

In this case the class name Reppu is called and this points to class 905 in global.enums and then that number is cross-refenced to the vehicleclassses.lua so that the right unit is spawned. A bit cumbersome I have to agree BUT it is a nice way of keeping things organised.

I finally got it working, and just figured out how to make the updater now since it'll be two parts with one containing the misc files and the other mostly the mpak files. It'll be a stand - alone DLC mod just like the Bismarck Mission Pack was. Like I said I plan to have it all completed and uploaded by this weekend
