Since december 2012 Battlestations: Midway is supported by GameSpy no longer. The only one possibility for Midway players is GameRanger. Please visit www.gameranger.com, download Gameranger client and make new account. You can find other Midway players in the Gameranger rooms. BS:M patch 1.1.1 is required to play online battles. Iowa Mission Pack and Midway Modders Mappacks 1 and 2 are recommended.

2) In my opinion start positions of ships are too close

I have put that islannd without mountains cause i dont like the strategy hide-fire.

this a very big trap to put all ships into the bay!!! cause  you will have 2 attacking fronts!

only in some rare occasions you can use the island like shield...

oooo...  Adi, then me and you should play a 1 vs 1

about this map I don't really want a island in there, because this is a plain open area for the battleships, and in steel monster, some noobs like to go hide in that gap spot in the steel monster island, and leave the other fleet by themselves
if we add this island, some noob going to do the same, but going to the island and "try" to be sneaky...

also adding a island will make the fleet to have problem when they fighting side by side from east to west, and then run up to this island... (but i don't think this is a "problem")

All vessels regardless of whether U.S. or Japan are too close together, causing only collisions with other vessels. You would then set up the boats like a chess game. Beautiful in row rank and with formation. The formations have to have space to each other. SSM should be a team death match map and since one can not easily put the ships on a small hill. To start to rise like a chess game pieces.

The BB of renown class should dipped against the new york usa, the class will otherwise have no chance.
Then, the balance should vote again.

IMO - the balance of map is perfect. Kongo and Fuso class battleships are similar to New York and Warspite class. But these unfortunate distances between warships at start should be fixed before releasing mappack!

  • N_Trainz : Yeah I wanted to do this, but the installers were being a pain giving me errors about something. I finally got it working, and just figured out how to make the updater now since it'll be two parts with one containing the misc files and the other mostly the mpak files. It'll be a stand - alone DLC mod just like the Bismarck Mission Pack was. Like I said I plan to have it all completed and uploaded by this weekend
