Since december 2012 Battlestations: Midway is supported by GameSpy no longer. The only one possibility for Midway players is GameRanger. Please visit www.gameranger.com, download Gameranger client and make new account. You can find other Midway players in the Gameranger rooms. BS:M patch 1.1.1 is required to play online battles. Iowa Mission Pack and Midway Modders Mappacks 1 and 2 are recommended.

What do you mean by automatic launch of planes? and is it the Airfields or CV's causing the problem

I saw this on both - Airfields and CVs. And that's what i'm calling "automatic launch of planes"

Another problem (after 5 rounds) - I think we should remove one japan airfield. At this moment Yamato can always reach the target easy.

Ok. And one more thing. Yamato can enter the island (glitch?).

EDIT

And there is another problem. No key units for allied. So its possible all USA ships are destroyed, but planes still flying and map is not finished that way. IMO all USA CVs should be key units.

Hi @ all,

From the two shipyards, a total of 6 ships come out and 4 of them are CA's. Could we not reduce to 2 CA's and start to get 2 DD's? So, 2 CA's and 2's DD. Just the two ships from the shipyards to destroy all U.S. ships.
OR
It uses 2 ship yards with 2 slots on the island. Thus it is only 4 ships instead of 6 ships come out!

The Yamato fleet, I also think a bit strong, especially with regard to the AA Gun they get down almost all U.S. pilots. Could one not to take boats out?

EST_PL has quite a few ships can glitches in the island. I am unfortunately also happens with a DD.

Ok starting up on the fixes, I wont remove an AF just yet thats too radical, instead ill shift some AF plane types/ #'s

If you won't remove one airfield then move the island more south east, that because Yamato can reach at shore very easy.

i had multiple airfield bugs
in some cases i couldn't chose my planes to launch...leaving me with 8 bombing squads to protect the Yamato ae

And that version is great Tipsy. You fixed that second shipyard problem, and airfields automatic launch works well. Pictures and screen  messages kicks ass. IMO its first map 100 (maybe 99)% done.

  • N_Trainz : Actually it was removed by me for 2 reasons; 1. was it was uploaded in the wrong area and 2. the installer didn't autp - detect the disk version, only the Steam version (since that is what I have). Going to remake it so if you won't mind a but longer wat that'll be appreciated
